Tay River Pathway

Tay River Pathway Tay River Pathway is a unique fully accessible outdoor experience on the western outskirts of the Town Of Perth. The Tay River Pathway is a unique, 1.5 km.

(return), wheelchair accessible outdoor experience starting at the parking lot behind Lanark Lodge and Perth Community Care Centre. It provides much enjoyment to the residents of these two homes. It's also a place where community members like to go for lunch, to walk their dog, or for quiet contemplation. Today you can enjoy the Round Garden, shaded areas, park benches, and glimpses of the river.

But you can't actually get to the river. Lanark Lodge Council of Family and Friends, along with many community members (we call ourselves Family & Friends), are working hard to extend this pathway to a Viewing Deck by river's edge. The new section of trail will reach the river via a meandering path and boardwalk. It traverses a beautiful, natural, untouched area. We need to raise an additional $50,000, at least, in order to have the pathway extension completed by August 31, 2016. To donate, please mail your cheque to:
