As Melanoma Month comes to a close, we're reflecting on the incredible impact we can make when we come together to raise awareness about skin cancer prevention, early detection, and equitable access to care.

This May, we were proud to:
☀️ Secure 60+ Melanoma Month proclamations across Canada
🧴 Install 20 new sunscreen dispensers in communities nationwide
🏛️ Bring patient voices to Parliament Hill to advocate for improved cancer care
💙 Share resources, stories, and support with Canadians from coast to coast

Thank you to our patients, partners, advocates, volunteers, and supporters who helped make this month a success. While Melanoma Month may be ending, our work continues every day.

Remember: wear sunscreen, seek shade, perform regular skin checks, and encourage your loved ones to do the same.

While watching the Jays game today, the camera caught John Schneider reapplying his sunscreen, followed by Dan Shulman and Joe Siddall commenting on sunscreen safety and getting regular dermatology checks.

We love the Toronto Blue Jays for many reasons, and this is another one to add to the list. 💙

Sun safety over everything!

We’re pleased to continue sharing the voices of the people who have helped shape Save Your Skin Foundation over the last 20 years. 💙

As part of our series, we’re spotlighting Karran Finlay, who supported the Foundation during its early grassroots days and continues to champion the organization today as a valued Board member.

From raising awareness to building community, stories like Karran’s reflect the passion, purpose, and connection that have defined Save Your Skin for two decades.
