On Friday, we were pleased to meet with London North Centre MPP Terence Kernaghan to discuss the work Save Your Skin Foundation is doing to support patients and advance patient priorities within health policy.

It was a valuable opportunity to connect, share perspectives and look ahead to the future of patient care in Canada.

Thank you, MPP Kernaghan, for your time and for the meaningful conversation!

With wildfire smoke and poor air quality affecting communities across Canada, you may be spending less time outdoors, but don’t forget about UV.

Smoke and haze can make the sky look darker or cooler, but harmful UV rays can still reach your skin, even when the sun doesn’t feel strong.

If you do need to head outside, remember to check both the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) and the UV Index before you go.

Protect your lungs and your skin:
☀️ Wear broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen
👒 Cover up with a hat, sunglasses, and protective clothing
🌳 Seek shade when possible
💨 Follow local air-quality guidance and limit time outdoors when air quality is poor

A hazy sky doesn’t necessarily mean a low-UV day. Stay informed, stay sun safe, and take care of yourself.
