Georgian Bay Cycle for Hope Georgian Bay Cycle for Hope is a one-day cycling event that raises funds to support the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre.

Events take place in both Penetanguishene and Collingwood. Join the annual Georgian Bay Cycle for Hope in the Heart of Georgian Bay and help raise funds to support the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre. Starting and finishing in Penetanguishene, this year’s ride will feature routes through Penetanguishene and Tiny Township. Whether you’re an active road cyclist, a casual cyclist, or enjoy a walking challenge – come out and enjoy cycling, community and caring through active participation and pledge support. Four cycling route choices of 100 km, 50 km, 25 km and 10 km will allow everyone to challenge themselves either as an individual rider or as part of a team and enjoy the winning feeling of being a participant and the communal spirit of raising money to help others.

Together, our riders went the distance, and then some! 💜🚴‍♀️

A huge shout‑out to all 414 participants who collectively rode 19,528 km during the 2026 Cycle for Hope. That’s enough to bike across Canada and back more than three times! 🇨🇦

What a ride! Now it’s time to mark your calendar for the next one.

Following a record-setting 15th Annual Georgian Bay Cycle for Hope, we’re already looking ahead to next year. Save the date for Saturday, August 21, 2027, when Cycle for Hope returns to Penetanguishene and Collingwood for another day of riding together in support of the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre.

Whether you joined us for the first time this year or have been riding with us for years, we hope to see you back at the starting line in 2027. Registration will open at the beginning of May.

A little piece of Cycle history was back on the road this past weekend.

Among this year’s Cycle for Hope riders were a few familiar jerseys from Cycle Camelot, the original cycling event in support of the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre. Seeing these jerseys return to the road was a reminder of how many riders have been part of this journey over the years, and how the cycling community has continued to come together in support of those living with cancer in our region.

One Week Later. What a day for Cycle for Hope!

From the start lines in Penetanguishene and Collingwood to the routes, rest stops and finish lines in between, Saturday was filled with moments that made the 15th Annual Georgian Bay Cycle for Hope one to remember.

We did it!

Thanks to the incredible support of our riders, teams, donors, sponsors and community, the 15th Annual Georgian Bay Cycle for Hope has officially surpassed our $210,000 fundraising goal!

Every kilometre ridden, fundraising page shared and donation made helped us get here, setting a new Cycle for Hope fundraising record and helping the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre continue providing programs, services and financial assistance to those living with cancer across North Simcoe and South Georgian Bay. Thank you for helping us cross the finish line together.

Donations remain open until the end of August, so there is still time to add to this record-breaking year.

418 riders. A new Cycle for Hope record!

This past Saturday, a record 418 participants joined us in Penetanguishene and Collingwood for the 15th Annual Georgian Bay Cycle for Hope. From longtime riders returning for another year to those joining us for the first time, every person who crossed the finish line helped make this the biggest Cycle for Hope yet.

Thank you to everyone who rode with us, brought along family and friends, formed a team, took on a new distance or simply came out to be part of the day.

We’re 98% of the way there!

This year’s Cycle for Hope has already surpassed $200,000 raised, setting a new fundraising record, but there’s still a little distance left to go until we reach our 2026 goal. Donations remain open until the end of August, giving us one final opportunity to reach 100% and help the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre continue providing programs, services and financial assistance to those living with cancer across North Simcoe and South Georgian Bay.

Help us close the final 2% and finish this year’s ride at 100%.
