Georgian Bay Cycle for Hope Georgian Bay Cycle for Hope is a one-day cycling event that raises funds to support the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre.

Events take place in both Penetanguishene and Collingwood. Join the annual Georgian Bay Cycle for Hope in the Heart of Georgian Bay and help raise funds to support the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre. Starting and finishing in Penetanguishene, this year’s ride will feature routes through Penetanguishene and Tiny Township. Whether you’re an active road cyclist, a casual cyclist, or enjoy a walki

ng challenge – come out and enjoy cycling, community and caring through active participation and pledge support. Four cycling route choices of 100 km, 50 km, 25 km and 10 km will allow everyone to challenge themselves either as an individual rider or as part of a team and enjoy the winning feeling of being a participant and the communal spirit of raising money to help others.

Deluxe Midland continues to lead the pack with $5,400 raised, while Nicole’s Chain Gang and IHD Design Build are powering ahead with strong gains. 👏

Our incredible fundraisers continue to inspire us as we count down to the 15th Annual Cycle for Hope on August 15!

Martin Kraftscik holds the top spot with $3,270 raised, and John Templeton has surged into second with $2,673. Close behind are Beatrix Befort, Rolf Berger, William O’Shea, Wesley Crown, and Dave Harvey, the leaderboard is heating up with more than two months to go.

Our individual fundraisers continue to inspire us with their incredible dedication and generosity as we count down to the 15th Annual Cycle for Hope on August 15.

This week, Martin Kraftscik has ridden into the top spot with an impressive $3,168 raised! Beatrix Befort has climbed the rankings, while Wesley Crown and Dave Harvey have made strong moves up the leaderboard as fundraising efforts continue to gain momentum.

The competition is heating up as we count down to the 15th Annual Cycle for Hope on August 15!

Deluxe Midland continues to hold onto the top spot with an impressive $5,100 raised, but there has been plenty of movement throughout the leaderboard this week. Nicole’s Chain Gang and Georgian Bay Women’s Cycling Club have both climbed the rankings, while several teams are working hard to gain ground as fundraising momentum continues to build.

A huge thank-you to every rider, donor, volunteer, and supporter who has contributed so far. Every dollar raised helps provide free programs and services for individuals and families affected by cancer in our community.

This week’s Top 7 Individual Fundraisers have already raised thousands of dollars in support of local individuals and families impacted by cancer.

Every donation, every shared fundraising page, and every conversation about Cycle for Hope helps bring us closer to our goal. Together, these riders are making a real difference in our community.

There’s still plenty of time before Cycle for Hope on August 16 to climb the leaderboard. Will we see some new names break into the Top 7 next week?

Congratulations Don! We hope to see you riding that new blue bike in 2026. Thank you, as well, to everyone who fundraised for this year's Georgian Bay Cycle for Hope. It made it the biggest and best event yet, and proves how much the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre means to our community! We are excited for next year's Cycle for Hope to continue to grow in Penetanguishene and Collingwood.
