It’s time for us to say a very big thank you and see you later to our wonderful PAWS Summer Student, Janel!

Janel brought so much positivity, laughter, love and energy to our busy wee shelter this summer. From making sure every animal in our care was healthy, happy, enriched and having the best possible time, to brightening the days of the humans around her — she made a huge difference. 🐶🐱💕

We (and especially the animals!) are going to miss her so much. But we’re incredibly excited to see where her passion for animals takes her as she heads back to school to continue her studies in Applied Animal Biology. 🎓🐾

Thank you, Janel, for all the love, care, laughs and hard work you gave to PAWS this summer. We’re so lucky to have had you on our team!

Brothers Bourbon and Rye didn’t waste any time finding themselves a home 🏡

The boys packed their bags and headed off to their forever home with two sisters to share a lifetime of love, companionship and good health!

We were thrilled to have a special visitor at the shelter last week 🤩

Lizzy and her family stopped by to meet with the animals and make a donation towards their care 💕

Young entrepreneur Lizzy has been designing and selling PrintPals at our local Pemberton Farmers' Market🌱! Wildly successful, she chose to donate a percentage of sales to PAWS and hopes to continue to support animal rescue through her creative business!

Juno, the puppies and the kittens all enjoyed meeting Lizzy and we are so grateful for compassionate, caring kids like her! Thank you Lizzy 🐾

Walter and Winston are pleased to announce they’ve found their purrr-fect forever 🐾

After facing uncertainty and upheaval in their senior years, bonded brothers Walter and Winston came to PAWS needing something every animal deserves: security, comfort, and the chance to stay together.

And together they will remain. 🖤🤍

These handsome tuxedo gentlemen have found dedicated adopters who saw beyond their age and understood just how much love, companionship and joy senior pets still have to give.

Now, instead of wondering what comes next, Walter and Winston can focus on the important things: sunny naps, good snacks, bird watching and enjoying retirement side by side in a home of their own.

To their wonderful adopters, thank you for opening your hearts and giving these two the safe, loving future they deserve.

✨ JUNO IS LOOKING FOR HER PERSON! ✨

Beautiful, smart, and oh-so-loving, Juno will be turning two this November — and her birthday wish is a forever home to call her own. 🥹❤️

Juno isn’t looking for someone to simply adopt her. She’s looking for her person — someone to build a life with, share adventures with, learn with, and curl up beside at the end of the day.

She’s the perfect mix of brains and affection. Juno loves moderate exercise, brain games, trick training, and anything that gets that clever mind working. But perhaps her greatest talent? Snuggling. At around 100lbs, she has absolutely no idea she isn’t a lap dog. 😂

Juno has so much love to give and is ready for someone to choose her for all the years ahead.

✨ Every great adventure begins with a little courage… and sometimes, four paws. 🐾

Meet Asriel, Stelmaria & Serafina — our Golden Compass-inspired trio of happy, healthy puppies, ready to find the humans who will join them on their next great adventure.

🧭 Asriel is our thoughtful explorer — reserved, clever and happiest when the journey ends with a good cuddle.

✨ Stelmaria needs no alethiometer to tell you she’s ready for adventure. Outgoing, confident and curious, she’s keen to meet everyone and investigate everything.

🌟 Serafina may be the littlest of the three, but she has the heart of an adventurer. Brave, sweet and always ready to explore whatever lies beyond the next doorway… or behind the next bush.

Their dæmons may look suspiciously like wagging tails, but these three are ready to find their people — loving, committed families who will guide them through puppyhood with patience, positive reinforcement, regular veterinary care and plenty of adventures along the way.

The compass is pointing toward forever. 🧭💛
