⚠️ IMPORTANT ACCESS UPDATE ⚠️

We’ve been made aware of a proposed road deactivation by BC Timber Sales that could impact key access routes in our riding area — including Hope Creek FSR and Kingdom Lake FSR.
These roads are critical for winter access to some of our most iconic zones, including Bralorne access, Lord of the Rings, Spot X, and the Noel from Pemberton.

If fully deactivated, this could mean losing access to these areas altogether.
We are currently working to better understand what “deactivation” means in this context and whether there’s a way to preserve winter access, but we need your help
📣 HOW YOU CAN HELP:
If these areas matter to you, please take a few minutes to send a respectful email sharing how you use these roads and why they are important for recreation.
📧 Email: [email protected]
📝 Subject: Opposition to Proposed Deactivation of Hope Creek and Kingdom Lake FSRs
⏳ Deadline: April 3, 2026

Personal messages go a long way — whether you sled, explore, or rely on these routes for backcountry access.

Let’s stand together to help protect access and preserve adventure in the Pemberton Valley 💙🏔️

UPDATE!!

GROOMING TONIGHT ON THE RUTHERFORD
ENJOY THE FRESH GROOMED TRAIL

Rutherford Update March 30/2026

Please do not block the groomer, it was difficult to get in to refuel for tonight’s grooming and as of now we are unable to get the cat past the parked trucks.

Please respect signage regarding parking and do not park past the sign stating that, if one truck parks there, more are sure to park as well.

Thanks for your understanding and will update if grooming will be possible tonight.

❄️ The alpine reset is real… and it’s tempting. ❄️

Fresh snow up high has the mountains looking unreal right now, but those same slopes are showing clear signs of instability. What looks smooth and inviting can still be reactive underneath.

It’s an exciting time to be out there — just remember that new snow + existing weak layers = conditions that can change quickly.

Take a step back, assess before you commit, and make smart terrain choices.

Check avalanche.ca before heading out, ride with a plan, and look out for your crew.

Enjoy the views, respect the mountains, and come home safe. 🏔️
