Introducing Brooklyn, our new Marketing & Events Coordinator!

We’re excited to welcome Brooklyn to the Pemberton & District Chamber of Commerce team!

With a background in marketing, communications, events, and hospitality, Brooklyn brings a passion for community engagement and creating meaningful experiences. She’s looking forward to connecting with local businesses, supporting Chamber initiatives, and helping bring exciting new events and opportunities to the Pemberton community.

In this newly expanded role, Brooklyn will be placing a strong focus on events - supporting the growth and evolution of our programming and bringing more opportunities, experiences, and value to our members and the wider business community. Keep an eye out for Brooklyn at upcoming Chamber events!

We also want to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to Zoe for all her hard work with the Chamber. She has had a tremendous impact on our organization, and she will certainly be missed.

Zoe will now be focusing on her own business, Ipsoot Digital, and we wish her all the very best in this exciting new adventure. It’s wonderful to see local businesses like hers grow and thrive, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for her!

The Pemberton & District Chamber of Commerce will be hosting an All Candidates Meeting on September 24th at the Pemberton Community Centre in the gym area/main hall. This is an important opportunity to learn more about where candidates stand and get answers to the questions that matter to you ahead of the Pemberton Municipal Election on October 17th, 2026.

Candidates attending will be announced following the declaration of candidates on Friday, September 11th.

Welcome to the Pemberton Chamber, Lazy Acres!

Lazy Acres Farm is a small family-run farm in Pemberton focused on producing high-quality local food and sharing it with their community. They sell farm-fresh eggs, seasonal produce, handcrafted products like garlic and rosemary garlic salts, and locally raised beef each year.

While their family also owns businesses in Whistler, Lazy Acres is their Pemberton-based business, and joining the Chamber felt like a natural way to become more involved in the local business community. They're looking forward to connecting with other local businesses and contributing to the community they call home.

We're hiring!

The Pemberton & District Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Marketing & Event Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis.

If you're organized, creative, and enjoy bringing people together, this could be the perfect fit. You'll help coordinate Chamber events, support our marketing and communications, and play a key role in connecting and supporting Pemberton's business community.

- 10 hours/week
- $28/hour
- Position primarily operates remotely with flexible working hours. Some responsibilities require in-person attendance in Pemberton, including monthly Chamber events and occasional meetings. Therefore, preference will be given to candidates who reside in or near the Pemberton area.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in marketing and event coordination is required.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and familiarity with Meta Business Suite, Canva, Squarespace, and similar softwares is considered a strong asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and social media platforms is advantageous.
- Self-driven/motivated individual capable of working independently and taking initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Meet Ariane, our Executive Director.

Ariane leads the Pemberton Chamber of Commerce's business advocacy, member engagement, events, and community partnerships, directed by our Board. With a background in project delivery, operations, and non-profit management, she's passionate about supporting local businesses and building a strong, connected business community.

Through her work with the Chamber, Ariane works closely with local businesses, community partners, and all levels of government to advocate for our business community and create opportunities for members to connect, learn, and grow. We couldn't do it without her!

With the ongoing wildfires nearby, now is a good time for businesses to review their emergency plans and be prepared in case evacuation alerts or orders are issued.

A few important steps you can take today:
• Back up important business files and documents
• Photograph your property, equipment, and inventory for insurance purposes
• Review your evacuation plan with staff and ensure contact information is up to date
• Gather insurance documents and other essential records
• Secure your building and remove potential fire hazards where it's safe to do so
• Notify suppliers and customers if your operations may be impacted

Taking a little time to prepare now can help protect your business if conditions change.
