Wow super day yesterday at the lodge, began with the pipes, then fresh fish for the thunderbirds, bear and eagles
Annual bundle blessing ceremony and feast as well
Finally our young warriors had to go bless the grounds and make all the offerings, in the dark mind you, as was a part of life’s battle, and challenges that get through to us at one time or another, once again though they accomplished the task at hand and secured a good clear path for awhile again
Spiritually it a part of who we are and comes as you involve and take the time and show respect to those elders and teachers that know what we all knew at one time

The sunlodge supports and encourages this with everyone 💙

Good afternoon good people
It is that time of yr when the seasons begin to switch, as it all changes, so will we
When you can’t put your finger on what’s wrong with you, it may be the combination of what happens during the change of seasons
Things can seemingly get big in a hurry during the change ove, physically mentally and spiritually
It’s all a natural part of what we as humans will always experience during the changes of the seasons
Don’t be to alarmed and overwhelmed, breath, smudge, keep moving in a good positive way, get out, whatever it takes, visit, talk, sweat, it will eventually pass as the new season comes
Your offerings are another very important part of greeting the new season and thanking the season that just passed
On behalf of the SunLodge be strong
And keep the fight for the understanding of what life is and who you are as real as possible 🫶🏼💙

The Windygocon ceramony is complete once again, hard at work they definitely were, the weather certainly stated that lol, blizzards, -32 when we got home lastnight, and to think it’s all blessings!

Good afternoon good people
We the SunLodge, have been on the journey of truth for a long long time now
The majority of us have lived this way for close to 40 yrs now and it has long since taken the path that Creator intended
Being governed by spirit every step of the way💙

We’ve come far in terms of who we are now, we know who we are, we practice,live and depend on what we now know, for it is most definitely fulfilling our every need as a people, every bit of what I’ve ever experienced over the yrs with what Creator gave us (red road) has always revealed a very significant part to our history our present and our future

One thing after another, it never ends, we are the true leaders of this land called turtle island, and we are well on our way and strive to carry out those roles as leaders with the absolute intentions to make things rite and better for everything and everyone

One powerful gift that we have lost the most here in Peguis is our language
In different ways, different times,different people, we’ve learned a lot (language) but to sit and hold conversation with fluent speakers isn’t possible

We need a permanent individual or individuals that would be happy to come a live with us, so that we can tackle this once and for all🙏🏼

The plan is, to have info on anyone that may be willing for this and to have all info and language ( Ojibwa) speakers interested to reach out to us, so we can work out the details

I know someone is waiting to help bring that most important medicine (language) back with us and we are very excited to see it happen

DRUM PRACTICE with teachings

Starting tomorrow 6-8 unless posted differently
All ages welcome
18 and under must accompanied by an adult for now, no drop offs at this time

The drum has been the centre of everything we do, it’s been the place where we all started as it put us in the middle of everything

It’s a very solid place for our young people to start there road, considering that it’s front and centre of everything we do, as they will begin to learn

The songs with there importance conect us to our helpers as well as the language and ultimately show us the power and comfort that the drum and songs provide when used as they travel through our prayers and give what is needed no matter how far away

The drum puts us in a good place and gives us purpose by way of what it means as we sing and use the drum

So all are welcome to come and find your place and voice around that precious grandfather that is the heartbeat of our nation (THE DRUM) 🫶🏼
