The Otipemisiwak Métis Government’s Children and Family Services is excited to share the Métis Culture Card Collection!

This bundle includes:

Series 4: Métis Games, Gatherings, and Celebrations - invite families to explore how Métis people come together to play, connect, and celebrate through games, jigging, bannock‑making, card games, and seasonal feasts.

Series 5: Métis on the Move- celebrate Métis history as travellers, guides, and helpers, learning about the York Boat, Red River Cart, and the teamwork and pride that still live in Métis communities today.

Designed for early learners, these engaging cards help families discover and celebrate Métis culture, history, and traditions together.

Eligibility:
- Reside in Alberta
- Be the legal guarding of a child aged 0-11
- Either the parent/guardian or child must be a registered Otipemisiwak Métis Government Citizen

This summit provides a safe space for all Métis youth ages 12–29 to gather, build connections, participate in cultural workshops, and hear from inspirational keynote speakers and panelists.

This is a Grande Prairie Métis District community engagement session to learn more about the Peace River Nuclear Power Project and discuss the potential opportunities and potential risks associated with the project.

The Session is an Opportunity to:
▪️ Learn more about the proposed project and its potential opportunities and potential risks.
▪️ Share your concerns, perspectives, and local knowledge to help inform consultation with Energy Alberta.
▪️ Help ensure Métis rights, traditional, activities, and land use are considered.

HARVESTERS & LAND USERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND
Harvesters, trappers, and Indigenous land users who are active in the Peace River/Grande Prairie areas are encouraged to attend & discuss any concerns regarding potential impacts to the exercise of their rights, traditional activities, & land use.

Healthy food, less stress, and zero cost to families. In partnership with Goodfood, the School Food Program is relaunching Nourishing Families today!

These easy-to-prepare meal kits include simple recipes and pre-portioned ingredients. They are delivered right to your home mid-September. Heading back to school is a stressful time for everyone in the family, but cooking together doesn’t have to be.

Families who have already received a meal-kit box from Goodfood can re-apply! Families who have not already received a box will be given priority to ensure no eligible family is left without!
