When Are We Open? The local restaurants have shown tremendous support for the soup kitchen. We are very appreciative of that


Our long term goal was to have a full time licensed food handler as our chef (and a back up chef) to prepare the meals "in house". So we are using the staff at the out of the cold

shelter to cook the meals for almost 80% of the meals. This ideal situation is either replacing or complimenting the restaurant-dependent system. Current Businesses we get our supplies from:

Who Can Dine:
The Soup Kitchen is not only for the homeless. A common misconception is that only those who have no income at all are in need of assistance. Anyone is welcome to join us for a meal at the soup kitchen free of charge. Our kitchen is usually buzzing with single moms & kids, seniors, construction crews, bachelors, high school kids and business people along with our volunteers and the homeless. We ask that those who can afford to leave a donation do so to support the ongoing initiative. The following organizations have contributed to the founding of the soup kitchen in terms of developing, organizing, supporting and promoting the program in 2006:
