CURLING CLUB AGM-SAVE THE DATE 📆🥌

We know, nobody wants to hear the word curling while we're still trying to squeeze every last drop out of summer ☀ But unfortunately the rocks are calling!

Join us for our Annual General Meeting on September 15 at 6:30pm. Following the AGM, we'll hold our regular board meeting.

We would love to see some new faces on the board and hear some fresh ideas for the upcoming season. Whether you're ready to talk curling already or just accidentally wander in while still mentally at the lake, we'd love to have you!

Come celebrate Canada with us at Cecil Thompson Park Northern Sunrise County as we bring back our awesome inflatable curling rink! 🇨🇦🥌

Whether you’re a seasoned curler or trying it for the very first time, stop by, slide some stones, and join in the fun. It’s a great activity for all ages and the perfect way to add a little friendly competition to your pre Canada Day celebrations!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by the Peace River Curling Club booth today. We had an absolute blast introducing people to curling, cheering on some surprisingly competitive families, and meeting what we can only assume are several future Olympic curlers in training. 🇨🇦🥇 (We’ll remember you when you’re giving interviews and talking about where it all started!)

From the first rock thrown to the last laugh of the day, it was incredible to see so many smiling faces, friendly rivalries, and people of all ages giving curling a try. The best part wasn’t who got closest to the button, it was hearing the laughter, seeing the excitement, and watching our community come together to have fun!

Events like this remind us why we love being part of the Town of Peace River. We’re so fortunate to live in a town where people show up, support one another, and make memories together.

A special thank you to Peace River Rotaract 2.0 for organizing another outstanding River Days. The amount of work that goes into creating an event like this doesn’t go unnoticed, and your dedication to bringing our community together is truly appreciated. You help make Peace River the amazing place it is ♥️🖤

To everyone who came out, threw a rock, cheered someone on, or simply stopped to say hello, thank you for making today so special. We can’t wait to see some of you on the ice this season! 🥌

To our incredible Curling Club volunteers, thank you. Whether you were helping kids throw their first rock on the inflatable rink, sharing laughs with visitors, or spending hours working the barricades, you represented our club with pride. Your dedication, enthusiasm, and willingness to volunteer your time are the reason we continue to grow and connect with our community. We appreciate you more than words can say, and this weekend wouldn’t have been the same without you!
