The Peace River and District Chamber of Commerce was pleased to be invited to join the presentation by The Honourable Eleanor Olszewski, Minister of Emergency Management and Community Resilience awarding Mercer Peace River $20 million in financial support from the federal government under the Regional Tariff Response Initiative.

This investment represents an important commitment to the continued strength and sustainability of the forestry sector in our region. Mercer is a significant contributor to the Peace River economy, supporting local employment, contractors, suppliers and businesses throughout the region.

Investments that strengthen major regional employers have a broader economic impact, helping to support local businesses, attract investment and contribute to the long-term economic prosperity of the Peace Country.

The Chamber is pleased to see continued investment in our region’s economy and looks forward to the opportunities this support will help create for our business community.
