Ship's Company Theatre Society Ship’s Company Theatre is a professional, nationally recognized, not-for-profit seasonal theatre.

For 38 years, we have been a prime centre for the production and development of Canadian and Atlantic theatre and a cultural hub in Cumberland County, Nova Scotia. The mandate of the company is to be a prime centre for the production and development of Canadian and Atlantic theatre serving a local, regional, and tourist audiences. The Ship’s Company Theatre seeks to fulfill its mission through:

Developing and presenting theatrical performances of Canadian plan, with an emphasis on Atlantic plays.
- The engagement, promotion and professional development of Canadian artists, with priority given to Atlantic artists.
- A dedication to innovative theatrical expression, reflecting our unique performance venue, geographic location and cultural heritage.
- Participation as a cultural leader and partner in our various communities: The Town of Parrsboro, The Municipality of Cumberland County, The Province of Nova Scotia.
- Managing the activities of the company in a fiscally responsible fashion and ensuring the Company’s property is sufficient and in an appropriate condition for all activities.

Check out the amazing team for Room 333. This show is coming to the Ship as part of our mini Pride Festival on July 27th!

Like all theatre, it takes a village to make a show! Check out the full creative team behind 333! This original q***r production about a part of Canadian history features an exceptionally talented crew of brilliant people!

Set against the shadow of Toronto’s infamous bathhouse raids—known as Operation Soap—333 unfolds by telling the story of three fictional men who find themselves caught up in the 1981 raids: Honey, an aging queen with secrets to hide, Darren, a closeted married man, and Eddy, a long-suffering bathhouse employee and recent immigrant to Canada. Three men, three experiences, three reactions.

Don’t miss the premiere tour of this bold and hopeful theatrical experience written by Jay Whitehead!

The page count was off on our program when we sent it to the printers, so we're offering a reduced price (from the price below) on 1/4 page, 1/2 page and full page ads - It only covers one page, so first come first serve - You have to send it by 4pm today! We're looking for used clothing to help fill the sets for Frenchy's - Do you want to see your old sweater on a rack on the stage of the show? How about those underwear you accidently bought that were four sizes too big? Now's your chance!

We need:

Rack 1: Jeans/ Pants - blues preferred, but a few black, white, would be okay
Rack 2: Women's Blouses/ tops - any color
Rack 3: Skirts/ dresses - any color
Rack 4: Coats/ outerwear - preferred tops (vests, coats, etc)
Bin: Miscellaneous bottoms (shorts, sweatpants, casual pants, athletic bottoms)

Donations can be dropped off at Eastern Front Theatre and the Ship!
