⛸️ VOLUNTEERS NEEDED ⛸️

Do you love skating and want to give back to the community? The Parrsboro Skating Club is looking for Program Assistant (PA) volunteers for the to help with Canskate this season!

We’re looking for:
✔️ Past figure skaters
✔️ Hockey players (young and old!)
✔️ Strong skaters of any background
✔️ Parents who’d like to help out while their kiddos are on the ice

No coaching experience needed — just a positive attitude, strong skating skills, and a love for the sport!

📅 Mandatory Training Session Required
(All volunteers must attend a training session with the Parrsboro Skating Club before helping on the ice.)

💙 This is an awesome way to give back, support young skaters, earn volunteer hours, and help spread the love of skating in our community.

📣 CALLING ALL BAKERS & FOODIES! 🍪🍞🧁

The Parrsboro Skating Club is hosting a Bake/Food Auction as a fundraiser to help cover club costs — so we can continue to keep our skating fees as low as possible for families 💙⛸️

We’re looking for donations of home-baked goods or food items to be auctioned off. Whether it’s cookies, squares, breads, pies, or your specialty treat, every contribution helps support our skaters!

🎄⛸️ Parrsboro Skating Club Holiday Break! ⛸️🎄
We’ll be heading into our Christmas Break after practice on December 19th and lacing up again on January 7th!

Are you an adult who has always wanted to try figure skating? Or a former figure skater who would like to sharpen up your skills? We have a new program for you!

Former professional Disney on Ice skater and Skate Canada Coach Laura Ashley Farrow is willing to offer adult lessons in Parrsboro in the new year. This will be for all skill levels, beginner, intermediate and advanced skill levels.

To move forward with the program, a minimum of six participants must sign up. The cost will be dependent on the number of skaters that sign up, but with the minimum of 6 participants it will be $140 per skater (the more that sign up, the lower the cost will be). This includes the Skate Canada fees for insurance, which are $61.65 per skater.
