A campfire is always a fitting end to a week at a scout camp - but not before a hike to a waterfall and a trip to Trapper’s cabin.
Birch Point won the regatta, Scout riflery, and Venturer archery. How did we win? Just ducky I guess. Err….lucky.
And on that note, we introduce the one, the only, Michael Quackson!

Canoes and kayaks and swimming, oh my! It must be regatta day! Troop participated in a variety of waterfront activities, as well as spending some time on the archery and rifle ranges. We finished off the evening with a special delivery of ice cream and some visitors to our site! Lord Baden-Fowl has a nice ring to it.

We fuel our activities with delicious (better than typical!) camp food. Survival island and snorkeling, and a great chicken stir fry. Newest entry is Goose

And then some days we stay up late! After a day of kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, and rappelling we finished the evening with a (slightly cloudy) Star Hike where we take a boat to the middle of the lake and listen to stories about the constellations. Reginald Duckingham is trending.

We sleep well at HSR because the days are packed! Sailing, fishing, rifle range, and a campfire. Considering Lord Quackenbush.

1st Paris and 26th Cambridge are settling in to our home away from home for the next week.
