SUSTAINABILITY MINUTE

Brought to you in partnership by NL Games and WRWM: Sustainability Minutes are a 'Green the Games' Initiative to promote sustainable living and a greener future for our athletes.

Check back every Saturday for a Sustainability tip that you can adapt in minutes!

Today's Tip is for Food Sustainability:

Have a cupboard/ fridge cleanout night once per week before you do your grocery shop, and try to cook up ingredients that have been in the back of the pantry for a while. One option is a 'pub-style' night where you cook up all the remaining boxed snacks (mozza sticks, chicken nuggets, etc) and make a meal out of the two or three of each snack left.

Another option is to use recipe tools to substitute ingredients. For example, using doritos instead of bread crumbs as a bread coating for your chicken or baked mac-n-cheese
