Pakenham & District Civitan

Pakenham & District Civitan Civitan clubs are dedicated to helping people in their own communities. Civitans help wherever the need arises.

The Pakenham & District Civitan Club has been in the community since 2004. Our club is a membership based club and our biggest event each year is the annual Frost Festival in Pakenham, held in January. We have been running it for since 2005 but the festival itself has been in the community for over 60 years. We fundraise at various events in the community and other than the Frost Festival, we also

host a popular annual Dessert and Gift Auction in November. We collect food and money at the Canada Day Eve and Christmas parades for the Lanark and District Food Bank. We contribute funds to hospitals, Pakenham Public School and other local institutions as well as individuals that are in need. Message from the Past-President Doris Rankin:

"The club is an avenue for people to gather together and do good work for the community. We are able to represent the community, not just the members. Membership provides an avenue for people to volunteer, we just do the organizing."
