Owen Sound Hunger and Relief Effort

What an wondeful night presenting alongside two other incredible, vital charities in our community. Thank you to the 250 Good Men of Northern Grey for supporting our kitchen upgrades to ensure that we can continue to support individuals and families. We live in such an amazing community. This suppport means so much to our organization. Thank you 250 Good Men for helping us to share!

What a way to start of a new season! Membership has grown to 250 Good Men in two short years, and we mean business when it comes to making an IMPACT in Northern Grey County. After excellent presentations by three local charities , we were faced with a difficult decision. The ballots had to be counted twice but after the dust settled, it was O'Share (Owen Sound Hunger and Relief Effort) that received a cheque for $23,000 which they plan to put towards their much needed upgrades in their kitchen work area. The United Way for their Energy Assistance Program and Women's House each received $1000. If you would like to learn more or join 100 GOOD MEN WHO GIVE A DAMN, visit our website www.100goodmen.ca

We are so thankful for our friends at REACH. They bring so much joy to our space on Thursday mornings. Thank you for helping us to share!!!

It was another great Thursday helping assemble snack bags at OSHaRE (Owen Sound Hunger and Relief Effort)! Its amazing partnerships like these that help us to build and foster and community connections, confidence, and professional relationships outside of REACH. We always look forward to our Thursday mornings to come help out! Way to go guys!

Thank you for helping us to share!!!

We’ve partnered with OSHaRE for an amazing fundraiser! ❤️
••
The demand for OSHaRE to provide meals, support school lunch programs, and help families in our community is a huge undertaking for a nonprofit.
We wanted to do our part and help support the incredible work they do.
••
In August alone, OSHaRE prepared and served around 34,000 meals to those in need in our community. That’s incredible!
••
Let’s show them some love, Sugar Dusters! 🩷

Remember that beautiful fresh corn from .ca , we shared it with families through our FAM program, we shared it with some of community partners, and yesterday volunteers peeled it so we could share it today with our guests at our community meal program. Along with ham and scalloped potato casserole, bread and coleslaw (made with cabbages from Second Harvest). What an amazing community we have! Thank you to all the producers, businesses, volunteers and staff who made this meal possible! Thank you for helping us to share!
