Today marks seven years since the final report of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.

Of the 231 Calls for Justice, only 2 had been completed as of 2023. More than half have not even been started. There are no excuses. This is a national embarrassment. Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQIA+ people continue to go missing and are murdered at alarming and disproportionate rates.

The government knows exactly what needs to be done; they are simply not doing it. Let us take this day to continue pressing the government to finally take action.
