Our annual vaccination clinic is next week! Get ahead of germ season with vaccines for the whole family!

Time to update your influenza and COVID19 vaccines!
M'Wikwedong Indigenous Friendship Centre will be hosting a vaccination clinic on Friday October 23 10am-2pm.
Updated Flu and COVID19 are avaiable for anyone over 6months.
RSV is available for those over age 60.
OHIP cards are not required to participate.

Today is the final day to drop off donations for the Clothing Giveaway!

LAST CHANCE TO DONATE! All donations for next week's Clothing Giveaway must be dropped off to a staff member by 4:30 pm TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13th. We cannot accept donations after that date, including during the Clothing Giveaway.
Please ensure all items are clean and in good condition!
WE WILL ACCEPT clothing in all sizes from infant to adult, footwear, coats and jackets, snow suits, hats, mitts and gloves, Halloween costumes, cloth diapers, small infant blankets.
PLEASE NO home decor, household items, appliances, toys, books, or any other items that are not for wearing.

In case you missed it! Our first Parent Support Group is on Monday, Oct. 5th from 5:00-6:30!

We're starting up a parent support group, in partnership with SOAHAC! The first group takes place on October 5th from 5:00-6:30 pm at M'Wikwedong IFC. Join us to learn about self-regulation and get advice on some of the challenges your family might be experiencing, all within a culturally safe environment. Child care is available by registration, and supper is provided! Please reach out if you have questions or would like to sign up for child care. (No need to sign up if you don't require child care - just show up!)

M’Wikwedong is closed today as we honour the survivors of and children lost to the residential school system. You're welcome to join the community at the sacred fire this morning at the Truth and Reconciliation Garden from 10-11:30. We are also hosting the exhibit "A National Crime" until October 5th, and it will be open for viewing today from 12-2 pm at the centre.

Guess what? We got ANOTHER shipment of fresh veggies! Carrots, potatoes, onions, and spaghetti squash are free for the taking! Stop by M'Wikwedong during business hours and take what you need. Bring your own bags if you have them.
(Please note: M'Wikwedong will be CLOSED on Wednesday September 30 for National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.)
