You can read about a dying coastline. It's another thing entirely to kneel on one at night, watching a sea turtle return to a beach that's barely holding on.

After launching Age of Union, our founder Dax Dasilva went straight into the field: night beaches, river crossings, and conversations with the people risking everything to protect what's left. What he came back with is an honest reckoning of where we are, and a reminder that the living world is worth fighting for.

The book is out now, with every copy supporting the Jane Goodall Legacy Fund. You can find it on Amazon, Indigo, or your local bookstore.

From October 20 to 24, 2025, Pitjiptjia Village hosted a Xipái Language Revitalization Workshop, bringing together teachers and community members working to restore and strengthen their mother tongue.

Guided by the theme “Our language is our root,” the workshop focused on deepening the study of Xipái and creating teaching materials for Indigenous schools across the territory.

This work goes far beyond the classroom. It is about protecting heritage, strengthening Indigenous autonomy, and helping future generations stay connected to their language, culture, and identity.

At Age of Union, we're very proud to support initiatives rooted in preservation, resilience, and community-led knowledge.

At Age of Union, we believe deeply that those with influence have a responsibility to listen, amplify, and stand with the communities on the frontlines of conservation.

Last year, during Prince William’s visit to the Emílio Goeldi Museum in Belém, Juma Xipaia stood alongside Indigenous leaders from across the Amazon to bring attention to the future of the forest and the communities protecting it.

The moment carried a message Indigenous leaders have long shared: protecting the Amazon means protecting biodiversity, culture, land rights, and the people who defend these ecosystems every day.

Have you ever heard of a lemur census?

In the forests of Madagascar, counting lemurs is a vital tool to help protect Critically Endangered species. Findings from local Malagasy partner, Association des Guides Andasibe, have confirmed that habitat quality determines lemur population health.

In a study supported by and , Malagasy researchers counted lemurs in the Mahatsara Forest, where 13 different lemur species are found—including Indri, Diademed Sifaka, and Black-and-white Ruffed Lemurs. This intact ecosystem currently sustains larger lemur populations and is an example of successful community-led conservation.

Association des Guides Andasibe works to restore degraded habitats, monitor lemurs, and educate local communities on the importance of healthy ecosystems.

Together, all three organizations are dedicated to ensuring that all lemurs are accounted for and protected!

In Trinidad, protecting endangered leatherback turtles depends on consistent monitoring during nesting season. Traditional methods, while essential, are often limited by time, resources, and environmental conditions. Today, we highlight how advancements in technology are reshaping conservation in marine environments.

Through its partnership with , Age of Union is supporting this work with a $1.5 million commitment over five years, helping expand on-the-ground protection while integrating technologies like GPS tracking and drone surveillance.

In his new book Junglekeeper: What It Takes to Change the World, pulls back the curtain on the reality behind real boots-on-the-ground work: conflict, pressure, and decisions that carry weight.

Dax Dasilva, founder of Age of Union, has worked closely with Paul and Junglekeepers to help grow the organization into what it is today. We’re proud of what they’ve built together over the past few years.
