Young Leaders Advisory Council YLAC focuses on increasing civic engagement through mentorship and volunteerism to promote awareness and leadership for youth.

Based in Ottawa, the Young Leaders Advisory Council is a group of passionate and dedicated young people of colour striving to increase opportunities for racialized youth within positions of leadership, influence and decision making. YLAC establishes and sustains an environment built on inclusion, accessibility, leadership, and engagement. In collaboration with its allies, YLAC also seeks to influ

ence the Canadian narrative of the Black diaspora by promoting diversity and inclusion within the National Capital Region and across Canada.
