Today’s Spring Economic Update puts students and youth at the centre of Canada’s future.

With continued support for over 700,000 students through financial assistance, new investments in apprenticeships, and expanded opportunities for work experience, this is a step toward a stronger, more inclusive economy.

We’re encouraged to see progress and we’ll keep pushing for long-term solutions that make education more accessible, support skilled trades, and help students thrive.

Wins for International Students 🎉

Today’s annoucement of the removal of the co-op work permit requirement will cut processing delays and expand access to work-integrated learning for international students. CASA has been advocating for this change and we welcome this step forward to reducing barriers and building employable skills through post-secondary education across Canada.

Join us on March 24 at 1 PM for a student-led press conference on Parliament Hill, co-hosted with MP Jenny Kwan, as we call for sustainable, long-term support for students across Canada.

A very successful Advocacy Week on Parliament Hill. Students from coast to coast were on the ground all week meeting with ministers, party leaders, members of parliament, senators and multiple stakeholders. CASA and .qsu brought the student voice directly to decision-makers. Grateful to everyone who met with us as we continue championing student priorities across Canada.
