As a mom this Mother’s Day I cannot stay quiet.

There's a moment many parents know. You may have even experienced this heartbreaking moment too.

It's 2am. You're outside your teen's bedroom door — just to be near them and make sure they're safe. You feel hopeless.

You've tried everything. Counselling. Drop-in centres. Meetings with teachers and administrators. And still, you can't help them.

For families in crisis, like mine, that feeling of helplessness and hopelessness can seem endless.

I cannot stay quiet. I need to share the impact to my family of the Roberts/Smart Centre team.

Simply put my teen’s needs are complex. Their mental health is layered. They require special support. At Roberts/Smart Centre we finally found hope. Not just for our teen but hope for our whole family.

I need to tell everyone that this Mother's Day, I am grateful for the compassionate and patient professionals at Roberts/Smart Centre for helping countless families, like mine, find hope again.
