Alhamdullilah, we are happy to announce that we have purchased a place for a mosque and community center in Ottawa, the capital of Canada.

This will be a sacred space where Muslims from the surrounding areas can perform the five daily prayers and have access to religious education for all.

The location is on Montreal Road near Blair, in the eastern part of Ottawa.
Currently, the property is an operating restaurant. The mosque and community center will be called Canada Islamic Cultural Center (CICC).

The building was purchased for 935,000 Canadian dollars.
After completing the legal purchasing process, an additional 270,000 dollars is estimated for renovation costs.
Since the building is old and was previously a restaurant, it requires immediate renovation to be ready for use as a mosque.

This is a place for all Muslims, but during this initial phase, Human Relief Mission Canada (HRM) is managing the project until it becomes fully functional.
Our Afghan community has contributed according to its ability and continues to do so. This same community will continue to support and lead this blessed effort.

On this blessed Friday, HRM teams continued their humanitarian efforts in the earthquake-affected regions. The distributed aid included:
• Food supplies
• Tents and shelter necessities
• Kitchenware and cooking utensils
• Free Medical Camp
• Carpets and blankets
• Hygiene kit
• Hot Meals
• Clean drinking water

Our teams are working tirelessly on the ground, delivering emergency aid and transporting those injured to nearby hospitals, but the need is overwhelming and with your help we can do so much more.
