🌿 One last Yoga in the Park! / Une dernière séance de yoga au parc! 🧘‍♀️

With fall schedules and cooler weather approaching, August 31 will be our final outdoor yoga session of the season. 💜

But yoga isn't going anywhere! Beginning September 21, we're moving back to the Pineview Community Hub for our new biweekly fall yoga series. 🍂

We're looking for clean, reusable cloth bags to help our neighbors carry their groceries home safely and with dignity.

If you have extra tote bags at home, please consider donating them to our food bank. Every bag makes a difference and helps us better serve our community.

🌿 Community Yoga is back on Monday, August 10! 🧘‍♀️

After chatting with our regular participants, we've decided to move our outdoor sessions to the green space beside Stonehenge Park for the rest of the summer.

💜 Just bring your yoga mat, a water bottle, and a friend!

🌧️ In the event of rain, we'll meet indoors at the Pineview Community Hub (1700 Blair Rd.).

Après avoir consulté les personnes qui participent régulièrement à nos séances, nous avons décidé de déplacer les cours en plein air vers l'espace vert situé à côté du parc Stonehenge pour le reste de l'été.

🚧 Traffic Alert: Overnight Highway 174 & Highway 417 Closures – August 4 & 6

If you're travelling through the Blair Road corridor next week, plan ahead. Overnight Stage 2 LRT construction will result in ramp closures, lane reductions, and detours.

🔸 Highway 417 northbound to Highway 174 eastbound on-ramp Closed
🔸 Highway 174 eastbound off-ramp at Blair Road Closed
🔸 Lane reductions on Highway 174 eastbound between St. Laurent Boulevard and Blair Road

Detours:
➡️ Eastbound Highway 174 traffic destined for Blair Road will continue to Innes Road, then return via Blair Road.
➡️ Northbound Highway 417 traffic heading to Highway 174 eastbound will exit at Innes Road and travel via Blair Road.

🔸 Highway 174 westbound on-ramp from northbound Blair Road Closed

Detours:
➡️ Northbound Blair Road traffic will be redirected via Ogilvie Road and St. Laurent Boulevard to Highway 174 westbound.
➡️ Southbound Blair Road traffic will be redirected via Innes Road and Highway 417 to Highway 174 westbound.
➡️ Northbound Blair Road traffic accessing Highway 417 southbound will be redirected via Ogilvie Road and Aviation Parkway.

Please allow extra travel time, follow posted detours and traffic control signage, and use extra caution while travelling through construction zones.

Free legal assistance available from the City of Ottawa

Recovering from an extreme weather event can be stressful and overwhelming. To help residents navigate through the insurance and recovery process, outside legal professionals will be volunteering at the recovery information session on Thursday, July 30 to provide free assistance.

They can offer general guidance on:
Insurance and claims
Flood-related legal matters
Other recovery-related concerns or questions
Recovery information session details

Location: Ben Franklin Place, second floor, 101 Centrepointe Drive
Date: Thursday, July 30
Time: 2 to 6 pm
City staff and its partners, including the Canadian Red Cross, will be available at this information session for assistance with various topics:

Information on counselling and wellness supports
Health and safety when cleaning flooded homes
Residential Protective Plumbing and Compassionate Grant programs
Building code and permitting process
Financial assistance and grant programs
Waste disposal
Property tax relief program
