🏳️🌈 Capital Pride is here! From August 22 to 30, we come together to honour the diversity, resilience, and many contributions of 2SLGBTQIA+ people in our communities throughout the National Capital Region.
Pride is a celebration of identity, community, and belonging. It is also rooted in the ongoing pursuit of dignity, equality, and inclusion for 2SLGBTQIA+ people.
While progress has been made, many people still face barriers, discrimination, and exclusion simply for being themselves. Pride reminds us that building truly welcoming communities means going beyond acceptance. It calls on us to listen, learn, and take meaningful action so that everyone feels safe, respected, and valued.
At the Orléans-Cumberland Community Resource Centre, we are committed to creating inclusive spaces where people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions feel welcomed, supported, and free to be themselves.
🌈✨ Together, let us celebrate diversity, uplift 2SLGBTQIA+ voices, and continue building a community where everyone is valued, supported, and free to live authentically.
