This page is to promote Fair Trade Events, to network & assist other Carleton Clubs, & to educate Carleton students & faculty about Fair Trade. Fair Trade Carleton University is a club on campus that advocates for fair trade products at Carleton and in Ottawa. us program is designed to acknowledge institutions that have shown leadership in this regard through their support of Fair Trade. Fair Trade Campus isn't a certification (only products and producers can be Fair trade certified), rather, it's a status that recognizes the leadership of Canadian colleges and universities. On February 15th, 2017, we became Canada's 22nd Fairtrade Campus! But we aren't stopping now - we're going to use our designation to push for more fair trade items on campus, such as fair trade clothing in the bookstore and more commitment to fair trade products by the franchises on campus.
