Dear families, friends, and supporters,
Thanks to God and the incredible support of our community and leaders, we were finally able to complete one of the biggest milestones for our Scouts camp after years of work and challenges: the electricity infrastructure project.
This included:
• Installation of electricity posts
• Wiring and transformer work
• Main electrical setup for the camp
Today, while waiting for the final Hydro-Québec connection step, we are moving into the next major phase of the main building project.
We have officially started the installation work for:
• 2 furnaces
• Full heating ducting system
• 2 hot water tanks (50 gallons each)
We are also beginning the kitchen preparation work to help make the building fully functional for camps, activities, parents visits, and future community events.
The total estimated cost for this phase (furnaces, hot water tanks, and ducting) is approximately $31,000. We were already able to use $10,000 from the camp savings to begin the work and pay the initial deposit.
Our current fundraising goal is $30,000:
• Approximately $21,000 to help complete this important heating phase
• Approximately $9,000 to help begin the kitchen project
