June is Pride Monthโ€”a time to celebrate identity, courage, and belonging. For many 2SLGBTQ+ youth, feeling seen and supported can make a powerful difference in their mental health.
At DIFD, we believe every young person deserves access to care, understanding, and a community where they can be themselvesโ€”without fear or stigma. This month and always, we stand with 2SLGBTQ+ youth and the importance of creating spaces where they feel safe, supported, and heard. ๐Ÿ’œ

Thanks to community support, su***de prevention research is advancing in powerful ways.
Researchers are using advanced brain imaging to better understand how the brain changes during periods of su***de risk - while programs like the Youth Nominated Support Team, led by Dr. Zachary Kaminsky, the DIFD Mach-Gaensslen Chair in Su***de Prevention Research, help young people stay connected and supported during their most vulnerable moments. ๐Ÿ’œ

Thank you to our incredible community for showing up in such a meaningful way for DIFD and The Royal, and to the Senators Community Foundation for your partnership. With your generosity, more people living with mental illness and addiction can access the care they need โ€” and reclaim who theyโ€™re meant to be.

Today is ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’œ

A day where we stand together against bullying and discrimination โ€“ and stand up for kindness, inclusion and respect.
Everyone deserves to feel safe, valued and accepted for who they are. Diversity is what makes our community strong, vibrant and resilient. Letโ€™s continue to protect that โ€“ not just today, but every day.
If you or someone you know is struggling, reach out for help. ๐Ÿ’œ
