Good morning one and all. It's been a wee while since the last post, and it's been a busy time.
A lot has been going on, and much of it so wonderfully positive. Just this last week, we got a donation of a set of bagpipes, a big collection of kilts, jackets and accessories, and a huge drumming library complete with historical documents on events in Ottawa going back many years in the Scottish community.
Working on other nice events to celebrate our roots, and looking forward to some great piping and drumming this month in our region. Be sure to visit the Sons of Scotland Pipe Band website for the calendar of events and come along and be part of the special occasions. Cheers!!

Tomorrow night, Ottawa - Parliament Hill is the setting for the 19th annual Sons of Scotland Pipe Band concert at 7 pm. Come along and enjoy some tremendous music! Free show, all are welcome - bring your friends and family.

Happy St. Patrick's Day week everyone! With lots of events taking place in and around our region we hope you get out to have fun and meet some new friends.

Be sure and mark your calendar for Sunday, April 12 for a big celebration on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. Presented by the Sons of Scotland Pipe Band, National Tartan Day - in its 18th year - will feature singing, dancing, fiddles, the massed pipes and drums, and even the Ottawa corgis - something for everyone in this free show for people of all ages.
Meet us up on the front lawn of Parliament Hill - the show runs from 11:30 am to 1 pm and come in your tartans! Love to see you there!
