CAUS Canadian Alliance of United Seniors CAUS , Canadian Alliance of Unjted Seniors is a new progressive and democratic seniors organization based on one member one vote.

CAUS Canadian Alliance of United Seniors is a new progressive and democratic seniors organization project which is building a new voice for the over 50s in Canada. Seniors' rights today in Canada are under attack. The age for receiving Old Age Security has been rolled upwards to 67 from 65. Health care transfers to the provinces from the federal government are being cut back by massive amounts. Wh

ile housing costs rise in major cities where most Canadians live, little is done for seniors housing or to allow seniors to stay in their own homes. Long term care access is deplorable. Home mail service which is being cuts and this particularly affects seniors and the disabled. And this all the time when the percentage of seniors in Canada will nearly double over the next decades. While many seniors already have their own organizations such as those who retire from many unions, most seniors do not have an organization which is democratic and can support their rights.
