We help young mothers provide a brighter future for themselves and their children.While at our Centre, mothers receive a quality, accredited high school education through the M.F. McHugh Education Centre that features individualized programs, small classes and parenting courses.Youville's dedicated team acts as positive role models for all students. A wide variety of support is provided to encourage young mothers to be independent, contributing members of society.

Happy Canada Day!

Please note that Youville Centre will be closed on Wednesday, July 1st as our staff, students, and little ones celebrate the holiday. We will reopen for our regular hours and summer school programming on Thursday, July 2nd.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026!
Youville Centre celebrated the accomplishments of the Class of 2026 with our Graduation Ceremony, held on June 17. This year's 7 graduates join the 656 Youville graduates that we have already celebrated - each with a different journey to parenthood and unique story of resilience and determination to build a brighter future for themselves and their children.
We are incredibly proud to celebrate this significant achievement with our clients; graduation day is a testament to the unwavering collective support of our dedicated staff, education partners, community partners, generous donors and everyone who believed in these young parents and their children. There is power in community and we are grateful for ours.

This week was a very busy week at the Centre, with many special activities leading up to Mother's Day, and acknowledging Mental Health Week. Not pictured here, but clients also enjoyed ceramic painting, and a crochet workshop thanks to Fil-Anthropy Ottawa.

This Mother's Day we honor all the different forms that nurturing love takes. We know our clients felt love from our community this week, as many of them look forward to celebrating their first Mother's Day with their babies. Thank you for the support, we are truly grateful.

At Youville Centre, Mother’s Day is a very special occasion — so much so that we celebrate it all month long; for all of May 2026!

This May, we are happy to introduce Julie, a former client from 2010-2011 who has kindly shared her story for our campaign this year. As a mom, what Julie wants most in this world is for her child to feel safe, secure, and loved. Julie’s journey at Youville Centre allowed her to provide opportunities for her daughter to grow, thrive, and learn; and she is growing up with a bright future ahead of her.
Julie didn’t do this alone — help from donors like you made it possible.

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible volunteers who make Youville Centre shine! ✨

We are grateful for our amazing team of volunteers who support us in our Child Development Program, with our SWAP (second hand donation program), our volunteer Board of Directors, and those that lend a hand when we need it for other random tasks, such as photography or supporting a fundraising event - like the Italian Dinner this past weekend.
