Tomorrow is the big day! Your cadet has been working so hard and it will be a moment for all of us to take pride in what they have accomplished this year.

A few notes:
Tomorrow is Tamarac Race Weekend with many road closures around the city. Please give yourself extra time.
As you may have noted today, there is construction around the complex, including the parking lot. There is parking in the residential streets if the lot is full.
Please try to arrive by 12:45. The review will begin at 13:30
Finally, please follow this link for a copy for the brochure outlining tomorrow's events.

Now for some other upcoming events:
June 1st: Squadron Sponsoring Committee elections for the 2026/2027 year. See note below.
June 6th cadets from across our region have been invited to the REDBLACKS home opener.
June 12-14 is the year end trip. Please pay the deposit and complete the form (cadet access only)by May 28th to secure your a spot.

Squadron Sponsoring Committee (SSC) Elections

The SSC elections for the 2026/27 Cadet year will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026 at 6:30PM at HMCS Carleton. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come out as this is your opportunity to vote for the elected Directors of this committee.

The SSC is made up of a group of 11 Directors with an executive group comprised of the Chair, 1st Vice Chair, 2nd Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary.

If you are interested in becoming a Director please indicate your intention to the Chair by email ([email protected]) no later than Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

Expectations of Directors:
Attend all SSC meetings (typically fourth Monday of every month excluding July and August).

Actively volunteer at activities and events on Monday evenings and/or other nights and weekends as possible.

If your calendar/workload permits, take on or assist in at least one major project or role per year (i.e. community engagement days, canteen, communications)

REMINDER: Annual Ceremonial Review is on 24 May 2026

The Annual Ceremonial Review Parade will take place from 1300hrs to 1600hrs. Parents, guardians and guests are recommending to arrive between 12:45hrs and be seated by 13:00hrs. Key information for cadets can be found on the event calendar.

A friendly reminder that this weekend is the 38th Annual Ceremonial Parade!!

211 RCACS Annual Ceremonial Parade
OPI: Capt Labelle

When: For Cadets and staff
Saturday the 23rd May from 0900 to 1300 (Practice, mandatory)
Sunday the 24th of May from 0900 to 1600 (Parade)

Where: Brian Kilrea Arena (Canterbury)

Who: Mandatory for all cadets. No sign-up, but please use the Absence Reporting form if you cannot attend.

Dress: For May the 23rd: civilian clothing but bring boots
For May the 24th, arrive in civilian but must bring full C1 - Ceremonial Dress.

Notes: Bring water bottle. Lunch will be provided on May 24th only.

This is the annual final parade. All parents, friends and family are welcomed and encouraged to attend from 1245 to 1600.

Please note that the parking lot at Brian Kilrea Arena is under construction so parents will need to park on adjacent streets, we apologize for the inconvenience.
