In honour of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we hope you will find the time to commemorate today and put effort toward the 94 Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action for you, your staff and our network more broadly.

Reconciliation does not have a fixed target. It is a lifelong journey that each individual takes. While on this journey, it’s important that each person continues to center Indigenous voices in their actions towards reconciliation.

À l’occasion de la Journée nationale de la vérité et de la réconciliation, nous espérons que vous trouverez le temps de commémorer cet événement aujourd’hui et que vous vous engagerez, avec votre personnel et l’ensemble de notre réseau, à mettre en œuvre les 94 appels à l’action de la Commission de vérité et de réconciliation.

La réconciliation n’est pas un objectif figé. C’est un parcours qui dure toute la vie et que chacun doit entreprendre à son rythme. Tout au long de ce parcours, il est important que chacun continue à placer les voix autochtones au cœur de ses actions en faveur de la réconciliation.

The work that Indigenous peoples and communities have put into furthering science education and advocacy should never go unnoticed. At CASC, we highlight the importance and value of two-eyed seeing and braiding Indigenous ways of knowing into the work to create a strong STEAM engagement sector.

For National Indigenous Peoples Day, we want to provide a resource for anyone working to bring Indigenous ways of knowing into their work or life. The Ancestral Science Podcast is a phenomenal offering where listeners are invited to explore the science in stories gifted to us from messengers Kori Czuy and Juan Carlos David.

A reminder that Science Literacy Week returns October 4–11, 2026 with this year’s theme: Curiosity Unleashed.

Leading into the week, CASC is relaunching the Science Connection Community of Practice (CoP) on June 4, 2026. Through monthly sessions from June to October, the CoP will create space for science, health, education, STEM outreach, research, and community organizations to connect, exchange ideas, and strengthen science engagement.

En amont de cette semaine, l’ACCS relance la communauté de pratique (CoP) Science Connection le 4 juin 2026.
