H365 Adult Development Club: Practice & Play! 🏒

Oct 2nd Photos! 📸

We had so much fun coaching these players for 25 mins while doing drills, then watching everyone practice what they just learned in a game to finish off the session! Everyone worked very hard, you can tell by the photos! 👏

We had the most players out this session and a 50/50 split between men and women! 🙌 More new faces to the Practice & Play and a few first goals as well! This was a huge sessions for wins!

Thank you to Coaches Matt, Karl (for the players) & Javen (for the goalies)

Looking forward to working with you all again soon!

We have 4 spots left for our scrimmage Oct 9th (tomorrow), jump in! If you need help signing up, send us a DM 🙂

💥Player Spotlight💥

Congratulations to Matt & Dillan who were the two players chosen as MVPs for the Adult Development Club: Practice & Play on Friday!🏅

Matt is the first goalie to be chosen in the ADC history! He has been out for a couple sessions and we saw how hard he worked from one session to the next to implement the tips he was given. We enjoyed watching his play style, he competed on each play and in the skating drills !

Dillan who is our club director has been putting in the work non stop in the club to ensure everyone has a fun and welcoming hockey environment to grow and enjoy the sport. His hard work ethic translates equally on the ice, he puts in the reps with as much intensity he can, he's always asking questions, he listens attentively when the coaches give him feedback and instantly goes and works on it. He's the first guy you see give a hand to anyone in need, he's the last one out of the changeroom onto the ice to make sure everyone is taken care of before the ice time starts!

These 2 players demonstrated exactly what the Adult Development Club is all about!

Thank you to the Coaches Matt & Karl for each picking an MVP!

Let's congratulate these 2 in the comments & don't forget to read their MVP speeches! 👏

💥Player Spotlight💥

Congratulations to Alex & Dylan who were the two players chosen as MVPs for the Adult Development Club: Practice & Play on Friday!🏅

Alex has been out consistently to our Practice & Play and has been improving each week, working hard in the skill sessions & got his first goal in hockey which is a testament to all the reps he's been putting in, but he doesn't just put in the reps, he puts in the reps with dedication & intensity, while willing to learn and being okay with failing over and over again!

Dylan has also been coming out to multiple sessions, he has even supported the Development Club from the bench when he couldn't be on the ice! He is known for his hockey IQ, which is the key factor to how he got his hat trick and why he's easily a player you need to keep your eyes on!

These MVPs aren't chosen for the points they put up, the goals they got are more so a by product of their work ethic, their sportsmanship & their love for the game, even when neither of them had the chance to play growing up, which is the coolest part!

These 2 players demonstrated exactly what the Adult Development Club is all about!

Thank you to the Coaches Matt & Ron for each picking an MVP!

Let's congratulate these 2 in the comments & don't forget to read their MVP speeches! 👏

If you'd like to check out our Practice & Play and see if it's a good fit for you, we have our next ice time this Friday!

When life is full, it can be challenging to fit the things in that you love, like hockey.

Matt does a great job at balancing a full life with being a dad, a husband, having multiple jobs, coaching and being The Arnprior Rivermen’s SR A Captain!

We asked him, how does he fit in playing hockey and why does he CHOOSE to make it work when it can be “simpler” giving it up?! 🏒

“It takes planning, and I couldn’t do it without my wife’s support. Between working multiple jobs, coaching, and raising two daughters, life is busy. We look at the schedule together, make sure the family has what it needs, and make room for hockey where we can. Some weeks that’s easier than others.

I still play because hockey is a part of who I am. It gives me a chance to compete, see the guys, and have something that’s mine outside of work and being a dad. I come home happier when I’ve had that time.

I also want my daughters to grow up seeing that being a parent doesn’t mean giving up everything you love. Family comes first, but taking care of yourself matters too. We also involve our children in all our activities. For me, continuing to play is one way I do that.” -Matt Denis

We had a first time hockey player come out this session and a few new faces to the Practice & Play! The goalies have been working on some technical parts of their games for the last few sessions and they've been making lots of progress, giving the players a hard time 😉

💥Player Spotlight💥

Congratulations to Daniela & Bared who were the two players chosen as MVPs for the Adult Development Club: Practice & Play on Friday!🏅

Daniela was out for the first time this Friday, and was full of smiles and enthusiasm! Even though she's still within her first year of playing hockey and she was competing against others with much more experience, she always found a way to be in the play, to stop her opponents because of her grit and willingness to improve and her compete level!

Bared is all about community, we noticed him helping new players with the rules in a very supportive and encouraging way when our coach was on their way to teach the new player, we realized Bared already took it upon himself to help those around him!

These 2 players demonstrated exactly what the Adult Development Club is all about!

Thank you to Coaches Ryan & Zak for each picking an MVP!

Let's congratulate these 2 in the comments & don't forget to read their MVP speeches! 👏
