About our group and how to donate (lire plus bas pour la version française):
It started with a call for a few good people interested in getting together to sponsor a refugee family. The response was overwhelming and our group Human to Human Connection was born.
We are diverse group of 15 volunteers from Ottawa, Montreal and Renfrew, working to bring a family of 9 refugees from Syria to Canada, and give them the best start possible at a new life.
All money raised will go to providing the family - father and mother with 5 children, grandmother and aunt - with essential items they will need to settle in Canada, and to provide support to get them through their first year.
We are expecting the family to arrive before the end of the year, and are grateful for any and all support given.
There are two ways to donate:

2) For a tax deductible donation, you can donate through the Jewish Family Services, which is the settlement agency helping us.
Select ‘refugee support’ in the drop down menu for specific fund and then put our sponsorship group name "Human to Human Connection" in the empty box under ‘include a message for this charity’. À propos de notre groupe, et comment faire un don:
Tout a commencé par un appel à quelques personnes intéressées à se réunir pour parrainer une famille de réfugiés. La réponse a été grande et notre groupe Human To Human Connection est né.
Nous formons un groupe diversifié de 15 bénévoles d’Ottawa, de Montréal et de Renfrew, qui travaillent à amener une famille de 9 réfugiés de la Syrie au Canada et à leur offrir le meilleur départ possible dans une nouvelle vie.
La famille est composée de parents avec leurs 5 enfants, ainsi que la de grand-mère et d’une tante. Tous les fonds amassés iront à leur fournir les éléments essentiels dont ils auront besoin pour s'installer au Canada, et à les soutenir tout au long de la première année.
Nous nous attendons à ce que la famille arrive à Ottawa avant la fin de l'année, et nous sommes reconnaissants pour tout soutien offert.
Il y a deux façons de faire un don:

2) pour un don déductible d'impôt, vous pouvez faire un don par l'intermédiaire du Centre juif de services familiaux d’Ottawa (JFS), qui émet directement des reçus à la fin de l'année. Dans le menu déroulant “APPLY YOUR DONATION TO A SPECIFIC FUND SET UP BY THIS CHARITY”, Sélectionnez «REFUGEE SUPPORT» , puis dans la zone vide sous ‘INCLUDE A MESSAGE FOR THIS CHARITY” écrivez le nom de notre groupe «HUMAN TO HUMAN CONNECTION. JFS émet directement les reçus à la fin de l'année.
