Since 1945, Lauzon Music has kept time with Wellington West. Across three generations, the family business has evolved from its roots in pianos and restoration into a destination for boutique, custom and collectible guitars. 🎹🎶

Today, its walls are lined with instruments made to be discovered, played and heard. Musicians can explore the details, test their sound in a private studio and find the guitar that feels like it was waiting for them. ✨

Behind it all is a deep respect for craftsmanship, shaped by decades of experience and Dave Lauzon’s own life as a touring musician. The instruments may have changed over the years, but the family’s connection to musicians and the neighbourhood has never missed a beat.

The Wellington Village Cow has officially been reinstalled today at 1301 Wellington St. W., proudly watching over the neighbourhood once again from above blueprint home .

A huge thank you to thepropertiesgroup for helping bring this beloved Wellington Village landmark back home. It’s one of those wonderfully quirky details that makes exploring Wellington West so much fun.

The next time you’re strolling down Wellington Street West, don’t forget to look up and say hello to one of the neighbourhood’s most recognizable residents!

TASTE of Wellington is Ottawa’s longest street festival, bringing Wellington West to life for a day of food, shopping, art, music, and community celebration!

Each September, hundreds of local businesses, restaurants, retailers, artists, and community organizations come together to create a unique neighbourhood experience that attracts tens of thousands of visitors from across Ottawa-Gatineau and beyond!

Visitors can enjoy one-day-only tasting menus, live entertainment, sidewalk sales, public art, family-friendly activities, special promotions, and so much more!

For more than 20 years, TASTE of Wellington has celebrated the independent businesses, creative energy, and strong sense of community that make Wellington West one of Ottawa’s most loved neighbourhoods. From local restaurants and shops to musicians, artists, and performers, the event brings together the people and places that define the district.

In 2026, the celebration continues into the evening with the launch of After TASTE, a new experience featuring live music, interactive art, performances, patio crawls, and the list goes on!

🚨Attention BIA Businesses: Where’s Waldo in Wellington West sign up Deadline Extended to Monday!

Join in the fun and encourage community to search for Waldo in this Wellington West edition of the classic game!

Participating merchants will be provided with a poster for their window, Waldo passports, and Waldo stickers.

Members of the community will collect stickers by visiting participating merchants. Once their passport is full with eight stickers, participants can drop it off at any participating merchant and be entered to win 1 of 4 Where’s Waldo prize packs and a $100 gift card for the participating Wellington West merchant of their choice!

There is no cost for participants or merchants, and all supplies will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity to bring new people into your business and meet new neighbours.

Where’s Waldo in Wellington West runs from July 6th - 26th.
