✂️🎈Community fun day - August 29th! ✂️🎈

We are so grateful to Mane West Salon | Clean Beauty Boutique, Humen Kind, and especially Courtney for including our family’s SPG4 fundraiser in their Farm to Chair Community Fun Day in Stittsville! 💙

This is especially meaningful to us because Courtney gave Jack his very first haircut and is still his hairdresser today! She has watched him grow up in her chair, and having her support Jack and our fight for a cure is incredibly special to our family.

🌿 Bring the whole family for a fun community day!

💇‍♀️ $10 back-to-school kids’ haircuts
📸 Back-to-school photos
🎨 Face painting
🏰 Bouncy castles
🌱 Local vendor market
👕 Clothing drive for children at nearby schools
🎶 And lots more family fun!

📅 August 29
📍 1563 Stittsville Main Street

Proceeds from the haircuts will support our SPG4 fundraiser and our fight to find a cure or treatment for Jack and other families affected by SPG4.

Thank you, Courtney and everyone at Mane West Salon! We appreciate being a part of this amazing event for the community! 💙

⚾️💙 Thank you to the 13U Rep Kanata Cubs for welcoming our family to your tournament and giving Jack the special honour of throwing out the first pitch. A big thank you as well to Jack’s very first teacher, his kindergarten teacher, for opening the tournament with such a heartfelt speech about Jack. It was a special moment and a memory we won’t forget!

The Cubs raised an incredible $2,540 through their bottle drive, all to help bring us closer to a cure for Jack and SPG4.

We also want to say a heartfelt thank you to Kendall, who made and sold bracelets and raised another amazing $547 for Jack. Knowing she put so much of her time and heart into helping our son means more to us than we can say. 💙

Thank you to the 13U Kanata Cubs and Kendall for standing beside our family and showing Jack just how many incredible people are behind him in this fight. We are so grateful! ⚾️💙

A lemonade stand all the way from Edmonton! 💙🍋

A huge thank you to Nora, Sadie, and their friend Mikaya, who organized a lemonade and bracelet sale this summer to raise funds for Jack and the fight for a cure for SPG4!

We are so incredibly touched that these amazing girls chose to spend their time helping our son and supporting our family’s SPG4 cure fundraiser.

Nora, Sadie, and Mikaya, thank you for your incredible kindness and for showing us that even from across the country, there are amazing people standing beside Jack and fighting with us for a cure. We are so grateful! 💙

A huge thank you to Emery, Emma, and Alissa for choosing our family’s SPG4 cure fundraiser as the beneficiary of your lemonade stand and Pay-It-Forward class project! This project provided students with a chance to contribute to their community and document this experience. Students could choose to help people, animals, or the environment by raising awareness, volunteering their time, finding a way to collect funds, or collecting items to donate. Emery, Emma, and Alissa chose to help Jack by raising funds for our Canadian Charity, Blu Genes Foundation. These funds will go directly to supporting a cure or treatment for SPG4. We are incredibly grateful to have such amazing young people in our community who want to help our son, Jack, and who continue to cheer him on through this journey.

Thank you!!
