🎒 1,200+ Backpacks Packed and Heading Out the Door! 📚✨
Thanks to an incredible team effort, over 1,200 backpacks loaded with school supplies are officially being distributed through our food bank and amazing local partner organizations to help students start the school year confident and ready.

While these bags are making their way to kids right now, our work for next year doesn’t stop. Sourcing supplies, securing backpacks, and planning for the future starts today—and we need your help to stay ahead.

Did you know that just $25 completely fills a backpack with essential school supplies for a local student?

Whether you want to sponsor one bag or five, your support ensures no child starts school empty-handed.

👉 Donate $25 today to fill a backpack and help us prepare for what’s ahead: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/148584

🌧️ Rain or shine, Blackburn Hamlet shows up!

What an absolute delight it was to walk alongside such incredible people at the Blackburn Hamlet Parade this past weekend! Even with the weather throwing a little rain our way, the energy, smiles, and community spirit were completely unshakeable.

We are beyond moved by the overwhelming generosity of everyone who came out. Because of your incredible hearts, we collected an amazing amount of food donations and monetary support to help our neighbors. 🛒✨

To every single person who braved the rain, cheered from the sidewalks, and dug deep to give back—thank you. It was a true honor to share the route with you all. Blackburn Hamlet, you are something special!

Breakfast matters.
And because of the students and families at École élémentaire catholique Sainte-Marie, many local families will have one less thing to worry about this week. 💛

Our van was filled with cereal donations for the Lifecentre.Care food bank, and every single box represents something bigger than food:

A child starting the day with breakfast.
A parent feeling supported.
A community showing up for one another.

To the students, staff, and families who gave so generously - thank you for turning compassion into action.

This is what community looks like. 🥣

Power outage tonight in Blackburn 🌙

For a few hours, it was all hands on deck - running fridges off a truck, setting up a generator, and moving food to keep everything safe.

The solar parking lot lights kicked in and gave us just enough light to keep going 💡

By the end of it, nothing was lost. Milk, eggs, all of it protected 🙌

Really grateful for a team that shows up in moments like this… and for a community that makes it all possible 💛

🎉 Mid-January check-in! 🎉
As we cross the mid-point of January 2026, your friends at LifeCentre.Care just wanted to pop in and say a HUGE THANK YOU.

In 2025, thanks to our amazing volunteers, partners, and donors, we served 7,501 appointments for 1,900 unique individuals. That’s a whole lot of care — and none of it happens without you. 💚

From your friendly neighbourhood elf (still recovering from the holidays)…

So thankful. ❤️

Huge thanks to the Lifecentre Church Guest Team who carefully packed every Christmas hamper, the countless volunteers who welcomed families and ensured each client received their hamper with dignity, and to every business partner and donor who made this possible.

Together, this is making a difference!

This is what dignity looks like at Christmas. 🎄❤️

Today, through our Family Christmas Food Hampers, over 300 hampers were prepared — serving more than 1,200 people in our community.

These hampers aren’t just about what’s inside the box, but how they’re given — with dignity, intention, and care for every family we serve.

This experience was made possible because of an incredibly generous community. To the local businesses, sponsors, donors, and volunteers who stepped in with resources, time, and heart — thank you. You didn’t just give food. You helped ensure families were met with respect and care this Christmas.

From all of us at LifeCentre.Care Food Bank, and from the families we had the privilege of serving — thank you for making Christmas brighter, fuller, and more hopeful.

✨ Together, this is what community looks like.
