Lebanese-Canadians for Civic Participation (LCCP)

"LCCP" is a non-partisan organization that works with the Lebanese Diaspora in Ottawa, in an attempt to ensure its fuller participation in civic society and the democratic process. Today, the LCCP primarily aims at rallying the Lebanese-Canadian community in Ottawa in support of granting Lebanese expatriates their inalienable right to participate in Lebanon’s Parliamentary elections from their cou

ntry of residence. More specifically, LCCP aims to ensure the following:

1-That Lebanese expatriates are able to participate in Lebanon’s 2013 elections from their country of residence.

2-That this right is not recognized only theoretically while being postponed for supposed organizational concerns, as has happened in the unfortunate 2009 scenario.

3-That a transparent and efficient bureaucratic system be put in place in order to allow for the exercise of this right. Furthermore, LCCP shall, to the best of its organizational capabilities, encourage Lebanese expatriates to participate in the 2013 Parliamentary elections and help them in the registration process and in all other issues related to the registration and voting processes.
