en to all youth between the ages of 12-18 yrs. Monday through Thursday from 4-9pm (except holidays), trust me, you will love this fun-filled, no pressure environment. What’s your passion? Suggest your interests to our knowledgeable and friendly staff. The best part about The Door is that the youth have a strong input in what happens here. Do all the Facebook and Youtube surfing you want on our internet stations. Sit back and chillax to a movie on movie night or watch your favourite sitcoms. Make new friends or just kick with old ones. Participate in our weekly tournaments and win prizes including gift certificates, movie passes, or snacks. Come check out our games room equipped with ping pong, foosball, pool, and basketball arcade games. Challenge other competitive youth your age on our outdoor basketball court and test your skills. Free food served everyday at 6pm. Do not worry about money for fast food or snacks ever again. All food allergies or religious requests will be accommodated. Every other Tuesday during the school year we have gourmet meals provided by McPhail Memorial Baptist Church which is a must have and always a super popular dinner amongst all of us here at The Door. Who needs 40 hours of community service to graduate? Why not complete them at the door. We have a wide variety of ways you can complete your hours. Inquire within to find out how. Our staff will be more than happy to explain it to you. Need extra money? Let us help you create an awesome resume and cover letter and aid you in your job search. Plenty of our youth members have secured multiple jobs across Ottawa and you could be next! Also, we offer free homework help all week long. We have wonderful volunteers and staff that specialize in different subjects and a homework room in case you need a quiet environment to work in. Our weekly schedule is the following:
Manic Mondays: Sports & Movie Nights! Artistic Tuesdays: Art projects, and 3-D printing
Wicked Wednesdays: Tournaments with prizes & wii night. We also have workshops the third Wednesday of the month at 6pm and serve Domino’s Pizza for dinner! Thriving Thursdays: Games night & Yoga!
