On Saturday, February 8th, 2014 we’ll host another fun evening of food, drink and entertainment that brings t
ogether mothers, daughters, sister and friends, and on behalf of all the children we will help, we thank you for loyalty each and every year. Our non-profit organization depends heavily on the support from local businesses like yours in our fundraiser efforts. Together we will build a compelling bond; not only for the success of Amigas but, together with Chance Foundation and Jeremie’s Children, to benefit the lives of the children at Emmanuel Orphanage in Jeremie, Haiti. In partnership with Jeremie’s Children and Amigas Ottawa, we are working to build an orphanage and school in Jeremie, Haiti. The Emmanuel Orphanage, which supports over 50 orphans and an additional 50 students has been operating in dismal living conditions. To date, land has been purchased for the construction of a new building and plans are underway to build a well. While this represents our biggest fundraising goal so far, we are definitely up for the challenge! The Amigas Gala on Saturday, February 8th, will go a long way to raising the funds we need to build the well and provide the children with clean water. Our goal is to raise the $15,000 needed to complete this part of the project.
