Over the next year as we celebrate our 45th year, we want to share 45 of our "firsts" with you. These achievements were made possible thanks to so many valued partners and collaborators: Career Development Professionals, organiations, and our funders who have championed career development in Canada. We invite you to walk down memory lane with us, and we would love to hear your CCDF memories in the comments!

In 1980, Stu Conger and a small group of visionaries founded the Canadian Career Development Foundation (CCDF). He became our first Executive Director and pioneered research in the field of career development through initiatives such as the Creation and Mobilization of Career Resources for Youth (CAMCRY).

Since 1997, the Canadian Career Development Foundation has awarded the Stu Conger Award for Leadership in Career Counselling & Career Development to individuals nominated by peers for exceptional contributions to the field. We are happy to announce that the 2026 recipient of the Stu Conger Award is Réginald Savard.
----------------------------------------------------------
