Under the May 2024 Constitution, Togo shifted from a semi-presidential to a fully parliamentary system. Supported by the , the Guide on Conditions of Access to Parliament and the Parliamentary Function Guide provide parliamentary actors with the tools to build an open, accountable, and inclusive legislature.
Here's what it means for Kenyans:
✅ Caregivers and individuals get full or partial income tax exemptions on employment income.
✅At least 5% of job positions are reserved for persons with disabilities.
✅ Schools and universities must adapt entry requirements, exams, and learning schedules.
✅ Referral hospitals get mandatory sign language interpreters alongside barrier-free roads and buildings.
✅ Law enforcement must use dignified language and accommodate disabilities from arrest to trial.
