La Balaenidae est l’un des mammifères marins observables en Argentine. Cette baleine atteint en moyenne 12m et pèse 55 tonnes, elle est de couleur noire et n’a pas d’aileron dorsal, juste un petit aileron caudal.
Durant presque 6 mois, ces animaux arrivent dans la région de la péninsule Valdés pour se reproduire, à partir du mois de juillet et jusqu’aux environs du 15 décembre. Ensuite, ils migrent vers des destinations inconnues. Comme tous les grands cétacés, la baleine franche est un animal extraordinaire, prodigieux, innocent, émouvant. Il est difficile d’expliquer ce que l’on ressent à la vue d’un tel spectacle.

The right whale is one of observable sea mammals in Argentina. This whale reached an average 12m and weighs 55 tons, it is black and has no dorsal fin, just a small caudal fin.
For almost six months, these animals arrive in the region of the Valdés Peninsula to breed, from July until about December 15. Then they migrate to unknown destinations.
