Shine Community Music Program

Shine Community Music Program The Shine Community Music Program is run by the Shine Foundation, with the goal of providing music instruction, free of charge, to students ages 8 to 17.

Founded in 2002, the Shine Foundation is a federally-registered charity dedicated to the promotion of music education, performance, and production. The Shine Community Music Program will provide music instruction, free of charge, to students ages 8 to 17. The ultimate goal is to assemble performing bands made up of students from the program. The classes will be taught at three Boys and Girls Club

locations and two community centres across the city. At the end of the program, concerts are held in order to give students the chance both to perform in a live setting and to showcase their talents. Shine has received partial funding for the project from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, but still needs to raise money to make the program sustainable. You can donate to Shine through PayPal at [email protected].
