Learn to make traditional Japanese sweets!

KotoAn Wagashi is a specialty nerikiri business based out of Montreal. Nerikiri is a traditional snack made from bean paste and glutinous rice flour, and designed to reflect the various seasons and nature around us. Learn how it is made through one of their two workshops available on Saturday, February 7th, hosted by JETAA Ottawa!

Join us for a hands-on cooking class where you'll learn to make a simple Japanese lunch, perfect for taking with you: onigiri rice balls of various sorts, sesame-sauce vegetables, and "octopus" hotdogs. This class will guide you through each step of the cooking process, including tips on where to purchase the ingredients.

Time: 12:00-4:00 PM
Location: Parkdale Community Kitchen, 30 Rosemount Ave #2, Ottawa, ON K1Y 1P4

Join us THIS SATURDAY to watch the documentary "Landscapes of Home"! The documentary explores the lives of two doctors, Henry Shibata and Stuart Cooper Robinson, whose worlds are disrupted by WWII. The film will be followed by a talk with director Alice Il Shin (Alice Shin Productions), producer Eiko Kawabe Brown and Dr. Henry Shibata. Don't miss this great film!
