A very special thank you to the for welcoming 2025 Rose of Tralee Katelyn Cummins to their training session this Sunday during her visit 🌹✨

It was a wonderful way to showcase the power of the Irish diaspora and for Katelyn to experience the depth and breadth of the GAA here in Canada 🏐☘️ As a camogie player back home in Ireland, Katelyn even had a chance to puck around on the pitch during her stop! 🤩

A day of history, skill, and inspiration on Parliament Hill.
Rose of Tralee, Katelyn Cummins, and Canadian Roses had the privilege of touring the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project alongside apprentice ironworker Colleen Shirley, gaining a firsthand look at the incredible craftsmanship involved in restoring one of Canada’s most iconic buildings.

Hosted by Ottawa MP Mona Fortier, the group entered the Chamber of the House of Commons followed by a quick stop by the Famous Five Monument and lunch with Senator Iris Petten.

These tours perfectly complement our Women in Trades initiative, celebrating skilled women like Colleen who are shaping the future while honoring our heritage—drawing inspiration from trailblazing Canadian leaders, like MP Fortier and Senator Petten, who continue to champion progress and opportunity for women across the country.

Our sincerest gratitude to for inviting our Ottawa Rose Chorus - a group of current and past Ottawa Roses - to sing at their annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration as part of Irish Heritage Month. 🍀

It was a true honour to be part of the presentation to honour special guests including Minister , Prime Minister , and Madame Diana Fox Carney by wishing everyone “a good night and joy be with you all.”

🌹✨ Grateful for 2025, and so excited for what’s ahead ✨🌹

Serving as the Ottawa Rose of Tralee this year has already been such a meaningful journey. From Selection Day to the Seniors’ Luncheon at the Ambassador’s Residence, welcoming the first Irish astronaut and a Canadian female astronaut at the Embassy, and life changing experiences like the Rose of Tralee International Festival itself - this role has been filled with unforgettable moments. Along the way, I’ve loved creating space for community through candlelit Strength & Stretch Pilates, Carve & Craic pumpkin carving, and Celtic Christmas Crafts, while also taking part in incredible gatherings like the Taoiseach’s visit to Ottawa, the Maynooth University education panel, Celtic Spirits with We Are Global Irish and the Ottawa Ireland Chamber of Commerce, Irish Night on the Hill, the Gaels Gala 50th anniversary, Ottawa Féile, and even travelling to Frankfurt, Germany to help open the Christmas markets! From sharing a pint with Best Eats 613 at The Well to celebrating Irish culture at every turn, I’m so deeply grateful for this community and everyone who has made 2025 so special.

This role has filled my cup in ways I'd never dreamed it could.

As full as this year has already been, I’m even more excited for all that’s still to come in 2026 ☘️💫

Thank you, thank you, thank you🤍
Aidan x
