Our association would like to thank everyone who contributed in a way or the other for the repatriation of Dhavish Ramanah, who passed away on April 27, 2024 following a fall from the 30th floor of his condo building in downtown Toronto. The Toronto police has confirmed that it was an accident and the coroner's office has requested for a toxicology test which will take months to get the final results. Dhavish arrived in Mauritius Friday May 10 2024 and is now in the care of his family. We are not aware when the funeral will take place. The funds gathered through gofundme platform will cover all repatriation costs as well as sending his belongings back to Mauritius, the remaining funds will be donated to various NGOs in 🇨🇦 and to the Mauritius Scholarship Funds at the University of Ottawa to help support our 🇲🇺 community. The family has still not disclosed how much they have received in their juice account after several request from our side. Further details on the investigation will be communicated later.
