. Scouting began in 1907 when Lt. Robert Baden-Powell took a group of
youth to a camp on Brownsea Island in the United Kingdom. There is evidence that a few Scouting groups started up in Canada in 1907. The Canadian General Council of the Boy Scout Association was incorporated by an act of the Canadian Parliament on June 12, 1914. In 2007, our Centennial Year, our name was officially changed by an act of Parliament to Scouts Canada. Today, Scouts Canada is a highly diverse organization with over 100,000 members nationwide representing every faith and culture. Scouts Canada offers programming in more than 19 languages reflecting Canada's multicultural landscape and communities.

Venturer Assembly - April 10-12, 2026 at Camp Impeesa in Drumbo… a time for Venturers to Assemble and have fun! Each camp brings together Scouts Canada and Girl Guides or Canada members who are 13+ from all over Ontario. Events are all planned for you, based on the theme each year. 10 events Friday night and 10 new events Saturday afternoon. The goal is to stay up late and sleep in! The teen age dream! Since 2022 Battlefields Council has had a team setup with Canadian Blood Services for donations. We have a goal of hitting 50 donations over the year. 2025 had us almost hit the goal for the first time since the team's inception.

Joining the team is easy:
To join a team with Canadian Blood Services (CBS), sign up or log in at http://blood.ca or the GiveBlood app, navigate to the "Partners" section, and search for Scouts Canada - Battlefields Council to add your donation to our team effort.
